Catalina Launches "On the Road with Miss America and the 2013 Contestants" campaign at 96 Walmart Stores to Promote Miss America by Catalina Swimwear


“On the Road with Miss America and the 2013 National Contestants” Campaign to Kick Off Saturday, May 18 in New York

NEW YORK, N.Y. (May 16, 2013)Catalina, a division of New York based In Mocean Group, announced today that Miss America 2013 Mallory Hagan will kick off a two-month promotional tour for the Miss America by Catalina® swimwear collection, available exclusively at Walmart. “On the Road with Miss America and the 2013 National Contestants,” includes 8 appearances by Miss America herself in New York, Arkansas and Florida, as well as 88 total appearances by the 2013 National Contestants throughout the country. The campaign begins with Miss America’s appearance at the Westbury and Farmingdale, New York Walmart locations on May 18 and runs throughout the month of June. The crowned Miss America as well as the 2013 National Contestants will promote the debut of the Miss America by Catalina® Collection, which launched in January following the return of Catalina as the official swimsuit sponsor of the 2013 Miss America Competition.

At these events, the title holders will be available for photo opportunities and autographs as well as to speak about their individual platforms. Platforms include Miss America’s “Stop it Now: Child Sexual Abuse platform,” and Alexis Wineman (Miss Montana)’s “Living with Autism,” platform. Wineman is the first-ever autistic contestant to compete in the Miss America Competition.
